RYOKO WATANABE 
Ryoko Watanabe was born in Sapporo, in the North of Japan. 
After graduating from Design School, Watanabe worked for several years in computer graphics for several emenent design studios,before returning to her hometown to return to her true passsion of painting. ryoko paints the powerful and traditional stereotypical images of japan such as Sumotori and Geisha in front of a detailed black and white crowd.  
 
She creates unique and increadible pieces with the juxtaposition of the Ancient Traditional Japan with the modern busy urban scenes of today.
